Justin Timberlake would 'absolutely' work with ex Britney Spears

Justin Timberlake would be happy to collaborate with ex-girlfriend Britney Spears. The pop stars famously began dating in 1999 after meeting on TV show The Mickey Mouse Club and broke fans' hearts when they split in 2002, and Justin seemingly referenced the split in his 2002 song Cry Me a River. They have both been asked about their relationship in interviews throughout the years despite the former NSYNC singer moving on with other celebs such as Cameron Diaz and his now-wife Jessica Biel.

While they haven't kept in touch, Britney recently said he was on her list of dream collaborators and Justin has now responded, saying her people should give him a call and set it up. "She did? Sure! Absolutely, absolutely," he told E! News. He then blamed his young son Silas for being out of the loop with showbiz news, adding, "I have a 17 month old so I don't get the headline news... I apologise for not being in the know?I'm accessible, give us a call!"In August (16), Britney took part in a question-and-answer session with Most Requested Live with Romeo when she reeled off who she would like to work with. "Aerosmith seems really good and bright," she said."

He's a genius I think. He's very rock n' roll. He sings from his soul... Gwen Stefani, I think she's great.... Justin Timberlake is very good."Justin's former NSYNC bandmate Lance Bass also approved of a possible collaboration, telling E!, "I would love to see that happen, of course. I think everyone in the world wants to see them together again in any capacity. It's like everyone's childhood dream."Their relationship is set to feature in an upcoming TV biopic about Britney, which will air on America's Lifetime network in 2017. It will focus on the "tumultuous true story" of the pop star's rise to fame, fall, and her subsequent triumphant return. A representative for the pop princess issued a statement distancing herself from the project and making it clear she doesn't approve. "Britney Spears will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the Lifetime biopic," a statement reads, "nor does it have her blessing."
