It’s the kind of exposure money can’t buy, a global superstar giving her nod of approval to an Idol SA hopeful’s rendition of one of her songs.
Twenty-seven-year-old Nozi Sibiya has secured a spot in Idol SA Season 18’s top 10 with her ultra smooth vocals, a Jennifer Hudson fan, she chose to showcase her talent by bowling the audience over with a performance of Hudson’s “Giving Myself.”
What followed was a nod of approval from Hudson herself who took to Twitter to share her admiration for Nozi saying: “Ok I’m a little late but ya’ll need to hear this! Nozi on @IdolsSA performed my song “Giving Myself.” If I was there she would have caught a shoe! She did that!!”
And just like that, a local girl’s powerful voice is tweeted to Hudsons’ 4 million followers!
