The Kardashian/Jenner family have once again found themselves at the centre of a cultural appropriation controversy, the latest saga involves Kendall Jenner and her hairstyle for a recent photo shoot.
The photo, posted below, has ignited both the wrath and praise of many an Instagram follower. The photos are part of a series that ran in the November issue of Vogue in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Council of Fashion Designers of America Vogue Fashion Fund.
Vogue has since responded to the backlash. In a statement posted by E! News, Vogue said, "The image is meant to be an update of the romantic Edwardian/Gibson Girl hair which suits the period feel of the Brock Collection, and also the big hair of the '60s and the early '70s, that puffed-out, teased-out look of those eras. We apologize if it came across differently than intended, and we certainly did not mean to offend anyone by it."
