Idols SA Season 17 kicks off Friday

Idols SA has been renewed for a seventeenth season but with one significant change, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all the auditions will be held online as one of the many precautions being taken to ensure the safety of all the Idols SA hopefuls as the search for the next superstar continues.

Idols SA season 17 hopefuls will need to record themselves and send a video clip to Idols SA in order to throw their name in the hat to follow in the footsteps of Zama Khumalo who won Idols SA Season 16.

It is now official that the Idols SA Season 17 online auditions will kick off on Friday, January 29, 2021.

Below are the rules to follow in order to successfully audition for Idols SA 2021:

• Your video clip should be only 30 seconds long and must contain just singing.

• All the other information required from you will have a part where it is catered for on the entry form.

• All participants are highly advised to prepare their 30-second long video clip and all the relevant information before they log on to submit their entry.

NOTE: The Online Auditions platform will open on Friday, January 29th, 2021 at 9:00 AM and close on Sunday, February 14th, 2021 at 10:00 PM or when the 15,000-entry limit is reached, whichever comes first.

Judging for the online auditions will kick off on Monday, February 1, 2021, and end on Monday, March 1, 2021.
