Prince William has joined the global chorus of condemnation over the senseless killing of park ranger and head of services at Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Anton Mzimba.
The prince, who had personally met with Mzimba last year, has demanded that ‘justice’ be served for the popular wildlife activist who had dedicated 25 years of his life to fighting rhino poachers at Timbavati.
Mzimba was shot and killed on Tuesday outside of his home, not much more is known at this stage.
Helping Rhinos posted a tribute to the respected ranger saying, “Head of Ranger at Timbavati, Anton Mzimba, was shot and killed outside of his home last night. This follows recent death threats and highlights the daily threat facing Rangers. Our deepest condolences to Anton’s loved ones and co-workers at this difficult time.
