Gert Johan-Coetzee and Luminance Bursaries have awarded Matric student, Andrea Beyers, the fashion bursary, while Thembakazi Stokwe and Xoliswa Kawuzela, both two 28-year-olds, were awarded the fashion communication and buying bursaries.
The bursaries are worth R500 00 in total.
Thembakazi was also selected by Dr Judy Dlamini for the Luminance Social Responsibility Grant, where she spend the holidays interning at the boutique.
Andrea and Xoliswa will both be mentored by Gert and will work in his fashion house in Johannesburg.
Dlamini was inspired to get board with a Luminance grant when, for the first time since the inception of the programme, the designer decided to also focus on a more business centred course.
