Frites by Idaho, a limited edition fragrance launched just in time for Valentine's Day, sold out in record time when it went on sale via the Idaho Potatoe Commission's social media platforms.
In every bottle, the promise of the tempting aroma of French fries in all their greasy glory!
Jamey Higham, president, and CEO of the Idaho Potato Commission said in a statement: "Whether you're at a drive-through restaurant or dining in, it's near impossible to not grab a fry and take a bite before you dive into your meal. The smell is too good to resist." He went on to say that it was ‘no joke’ and that the fragrance had been years in the making. The fragrance was selling for around R30 per 1.7 oz bottle on the commission's website before selling out.
The fragrance, which the commission says captures "one of the world's most irresistible scents," is made from distilled Idaho potatoes and essential oils.
According to a recent national survey in America by Pollfish, 90% of Americans find the smell of French fries irresistible.
