World renowed author and Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison has died at the age of 88.
Morrison is well known for her novel titled 'Beloved' released in 1987, which became one of the most commemorated books she has written. 'Beloved' was hailed all over the world as it depicted the story of African-American slave, Margaret Garner. The novel later went on to win Pulitzer Prize for fiction.
Since the release of 'Beloved,' Morrison went on to write other pieces of literature including poetry. In 1993 she was awarded the Nobel Prize In Literature, and had since been praised in the field of compositions for her exceptional writing career. She was also awarded with the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Former President Barack Obama in 2012.
Some of her best work include - Song of Solomon, The Bluest Eye, Tar Baby and Sula.
