NBC has officially announced that Kelly Clarkson will take over the slot left vacant by Ellen DeGeneres when she ends her chat show next year.
DeGeneres revealed a couple of weeks ago that she would be ending her show after 19 seasons on the network denying that it had anything to do with the accusations of bullying and a toxic workplace environment that surfaced just over a year ago.
The Kelly Clarkson Show, which is now in its second season, will take over the daytime slot next year, also owned by NBC, the media giant has said that they are “working on some big plans for season three and are looking forward to becoming the premier show in daytime for years to come.”
The Kelly Clarkson Show recently earned itself six Daytime Emmy nominations – Clarkson took to social media to say thank you to the Academy for the multiple nods.
