Elizabeth Chambers devastated at Armie Hammer rape allegations

The American TV personality and entrepreneur has been left devasted at allegations of violent rape against her ex-husband.

A mystery woman, known only to the press as ‘Effie’, came forward Thursday accompanied by her lawyer Gloria Allred, to accuse the movie star of raping and beating her over four hours in Los Angeles in April 2017. Los Angeles police say they are investigating the allegations.

According to US Today the 24-year-old woman said in a Zoom press conference with Allred that "He(Hammer) abused me mentally, emotionally and sexually."

It was also reported that in light of various allegations raised against Hammer by many other women, he has been dropped by his agency William Morris Endeavor, he has also pulled out of the Jennifer Lopez film Shotgun Wedding and the Paramount Plus series The Offer.

Elizabeth Chambers addressed the shocking allegations in an Instagram post saying that she was "shocked, heartbroken, and devastated."

Chambers and Hammer married in May 2010, and divorced in July 2020  -  they have two children together. Hammer, the son of businessman Michael Armand Hammer and the great-grandson of oil tycoon Armand Hammer began his acting career with guest appearances in various television series. His first lead role as Billy Graham in the film Billy Graham: The Early Years put him on the road to success.

His legal team has denied all the allegations.
