Ed Sheeran's biggest hits causes trouble

Two months ago Ed Sheeran was accused and served with a lawsuit of $20 million by Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard who claim that Ed's hit single 'Photograph' is note-for-note their 2009 song 'Amazing'. When the two songs are placed along side one another, it's difficult to dispute this claim:

The same lawyer who represented Marvin Gaye's family, Richard Busch, will represent Harrington and Leonard.

More recently, Sheeran has been placed in the hot seat again, this time by the heirs of Ed Townsend. Ed Townsend co-wrote the 1973 'Let's get it on' hit with Marvin Gaye. The claim is that the Sheeran's 'Thinking out Loud' hit has a "strikingly similar" melody, harmony and rhythm composition to 'Let's get it on'.
