Lawyer and family spokesperson, Linda Edell, Howard said in a statement that the iconic rock n roll musician Don Everly, died Saturday at his home in Nashville at the age of 84, no cause of death was given.
They were one of the most successful rock ’n’ roll bands of their time, often rivalling Elvis Presley and Pat Boone for airtime, and in the years 1957 to 1961, they averaged one single in the Top Ten every four months.
Often referred to as a groundbreaking harmonious rock n roll duo, their style of music influenced a generation of musicians that followed them, from the Beatles to the Bee Gees and Simon & Garfunkel.
The Everly Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
May you RIP Don Everly.
