Richard Donner passed away on Monday at the age of 91.
The cause of death is still unknown.
Donner was famously known for popular movies such as ‘The Goonies’, the ‘Lethal Weapon’ franchise and the of course the first ever “Superman” movie.
The production company, Amblin Entertainment, founded by Steven Spielberg shared the following statement: "Being in his circle was akin to hanging out with your favorite coach, smartest professor, fiercest motivator, most endearing friend, staunchest ally, and - of course - the greatest Goonie of all."
