Cosmopolitan's Netflix issue a global first

A global first for the Cosmopolitan brand, the Netflix issue features Mzansi’s Pearl Thusi on its cover looking absolutely stunning in a Gert-Johan Coetzee-designed black bodysuit.

Thusi, every inch the cover girl, is also a talent to be reckoned with. Watch out for her in the lead role of the Netflix first original Africa series Queen Sono, due to start flighting on the 28th February.

Inside the Netflix issue, you'll find interviews about the local TV and production industry and some fun pics as the Cosmo crew also invited local social-media influencers Luke Diva,  Monica Kantani and Megan Farmer to dress up as their favourite Netflix stars.

Cosmopolitan editor Holly Meadows said of the publication, “In a time where Netflix is one of the top-five websites in the world in terms of traffic volume, and the Cosmo girl spends (on average) three hours a day streaming video, this issue made complete sense for our series-obsessed, Millennial and Generation Z audience.”

Nice one all round!

I’m so honoured to be in @cosmopolitansa’s first-ever Netflix issue ahead of the release of @queensononetflix on @netflixsa! For this issue, we shot with an incredible all-female, badass crew and four of SA's finest up-and-coming screen queens in the local industry who I’ve handpicked as the next big things! Pick up the issue to read more about our experiences in the industry. @kuhleadams, @mamarumo_m, @amaqamata and @shonisani #TheNetflixIssue #COSMOxPearlThusi ????????????????????????????????????????
