Trevor Noah turned 36 last week and chose to do the giving by handpicking five teachers and gifting them brand-new tablets – and not just any tablets - Microsoft Surface Pro tablets worth almost R30 000!
He took to Instagram to share the great news saying, "I’ve picked 5 teachers and will post the winners in my story! Thank you to everyone who took the time to tag some extraordinary people! ???????? Does your teacher need a new tablet or is their laptop super old? Well for my birthday I’ve got 5 Microsoft Surface Pros to give away. No strings. no ad. no nothing. I just have them and I like giving things to teachers. Tag your teacher in the comments and I’ll pick 5 people randomly.
When last I checked, he was the fourth highest-paid comedian in the world but despite his fame and fortune, Trevor Noah never forgets his humble beginnings and is clearly a celebrity who wants to make a difference in the world. Evidence of this was his recent trip back to South Africa to take part in the Match in Africa on the 7th February to raise money for the Roger Federer Foundation. As a curtain-raiser, Noah took part in a celebrity pro-doubles match with Rafel Nadal against Federer & Bill Gates. As posted on his Twitter feed, the Match in Africa event raised 3 million dollars for education in Africa.
