A romantic moment was shared at a popular South African fast food restaurant, KFC when a man went down on one knee and proposed to his date.
The moment was captured beautifully, but Twitter user Anele_Butterly did not find the moment romantic, and tweeted "SA men are so broke they even propose at KFC..they have absolutely no class, I mean who proposes at KFC." In her since deleted string of tweets, many people thought her opinion was nasty and it was met with much disdain from the general public.
This prompted a series of positive tweets from other Twitter users, including celebrities, KFC South Africa, TOTAL South Africa, Takealot and many others to donate towards the couple's special occasion.
The spirit of Ubuntu has been making the rounds since the video went viral and perhaps will encourage others to tap into their humanity and spread kindness. Congratulations to the two lovebirds!
