Chris Hemsworth has taken to social media to poke fun at reports his marriage to Elsa Pataky is on the rocks. The 33-year-old and his Spanish actress spouse, who have been married since 2010, were hit by rumours all was not well with their marriage following a report by Australia's Woman's Day magazine. The story alleged the two have been leading separate lives as Chris has remained in Australia to shoot Thor: Ragnarok while Elsa has flown back to her native Spain with their three children.
Chris took to Instagram on Monday (24Oct16) to shut down the report in a mocking post. Alongside a picture of him sat on a boat with Elsa, he wrote, ?Looking for a new wife according to @womansdayaus and other misleading outlets! Honey you still love me right?! @elsapatakyconfidential #thanksfortheheadsup."Elsa, 40, followed suit by sharing a picture of the couple and their dog on a padded garden bench adding, "Always and forever!! @chrishemsworth," with a winking face emoji.
In the report, a source claimed, "They've decided they need space, and they've been taking a little break from each other," their marriage was not as "picture perfect" as it seemed and they were on the verge of splitting. The couple got married in December, 2010 after meeting earlier that year. Chris previously told U.K. show Good Morning Britain that getting married after just a few months felt right. "It made sense," he said. "There was no great plan to any of it to be honest, we were on holiday and we said, 'Why don't we get married, too?'
And then the next minute...There probably should have been some planning, but it all worked out. Honestly, we had both our families on holiday at the same time, just randomly, and we said, 'This is a good opportunity with everyone together.' So, we just did it."They are parents to daughter India, four, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, two.
