Back in July, Carly Rae Jepsen released a dizzyingly fun music video for “Run Away With Me,” the shiny, saxophone-laden anthem that opens her album EMOTION. The cute travelogue-inspired video totally fed our wanderlust as we saw CRJ jetsetting to New York, Paris and Tokyo, smiling and laughing all the while.
That was a great video in and of itself, but now Carly Rae has simply outdone herself by releasing a NEW version of “Run Away With Me” that lets you (yes, YOU!) pick what she does next.
The vid is basically a choose-your-own-adventure style game that asks you questions about where you are, what the weather’s like, what sights you want to see, etc. You respond with emoji options, and the video then shifts to new locales and activities, all while keeping the first person POV style of the original version in tact.
So, yes, now you can literally run away with Carly Rae. And you will really, really, really, really, really, really like it.
