Cardi B has made history by becoming the first female rapper to have a diamond-certified song.
Her track “Bodak Yellow”, has sold a whopping 10 million units since its release making it eligible to be certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America.
In a humble post on Instagram, the 28-year-old star admitted that a couple of years ago she did not even know what ‘going diamond’ meant. She went on to thank her fans profusely saying: “How it started, How’s it's going. Thank you every1 that send me beautiful congrats on Bodak going Diamond.”
