It’s happened to all of us at some time or another – you can hum or sing a few bars of a particular song that you love but you cannot remember the title.
It should come as no surprise that Google has been bothered by this too and has now come up with a solution to help us in our hour of need! (said tongue in cheek)
Taking to social media, the company has announced their new “hum to search" feature which lets users hum, whistle or sing a melody to the Google app, which then tries to track down the song you were thinking of.
Do you know that song that goes, “da na na na na do do?” We bet Google Search does. ???? Next time a song is stuck in your head, just #HumToSearch into the Google app and we’ll identify the song. Perfect pitch not required → https://t.co/xOFYTukjOk #SearchOn pic.twitter.com/3LRN4HJMKG

To use the feature, you simply tap the mic icon and say “What’s this song?” or click the “Search a song” button. Then all you have to do is start humming or singing the song for about 10 to 15 seconds..
Once done Google’s AI algorithms try to identify potential matches and display the most likely options for you.
Thank you Google!
