Britain battles to contain vile social media abuse of Meghan and Catherine

Britain's press is having a hard time containing the constant influx of abusive criticism on social media of Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Palace officials have even gone as far as reaching out to Instagram to ask them to assist in monitoring and removing some of the vile and offensive comments posted by users. They are also spending many hours each week censoring comments on the official palace Instagram account.

In an effort to stop the abuse, Britain's press has begun to urge social media users to think before they post unkind and hurtful comments about the two duchesses. Yesterday, The Times newspaper printed an editorial titled “Vile Abuse”, in which it stated that many of the comments made about Meghan and Catherine are too vicious to publish and some have even included threats.
