Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate ,and his brother Tristan, have been released from jail in Romania and placed under house arrest while they are being investigated on allegations of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized criminal group.
They have been in custody since December 2022.
Described as being divisive and misogynistic, 36-year-old Andrew Tate is a former professional kickboxer with 5.8 million Twitter followers.
The accused will remain under house arrest until at least April 29.
He was quick to post on social media, marking the time he has spent behind bars and commenting: "The file was passed to a Judge who has ruled it weak and circumstantial".
