Billie Eilish confirms she is behind new Bond theme song

Eighteen-year-old rising star Billie Eilish has confirmed that she is behind the latest James Bond theme song for the movie No time to Die. This makes her the youngest singer to ever write and record a Bond theme track.

It’s an interesting departure from the genre of artists that are usually given the honour of singer the Bond “ditty”. Past artists have included Paul McCartney, Sheena Easton, Duran Duran, Sam Smith and Dame Shirley Bassey who, incidentally, is the only singer to have recorded three Bond Numbers. Bond songs have traditionally done extremely well in global charts and have often been nominated for prestigious awards but it was not until the 2013 Oscars that a Bond song finally won the Academy Award for Best Original song from Skyfall by Adele.

If you are not familiar with the work of young Billie, here is a video of her single Bad Guy from her debut album "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?" And of course, the official trailer for No Time to Die which releases in April.
