The Bay City Rollers were a Scottish pop-rock band known for their worldwide teen idol popularity in the 1970s. They were often dubbed the "tartan teen sensations from Edinburgh", and were hailed as one the “biggest bands since the Beatles” in their day. They were the cause of teen hysteria in the 70s known as Rollermania, with pop hits like Saturday Night, Money Honey and I Only Want To Be With You
McKeown is survived by his wife Peko Keiko and their son Jubei.
