The English journalist and television presenter Piers Morgon lashed out at the British female pop group, Little Mix who posed nude to promote their latest album, LM5.
Piers criticized the group by calling them out on not being original. He stated that Little Mix stole the idea from the Dixie Chicks.
Hey @LittleMix - when are you going to admit you stole this idea from @dixiechicks? pic.twitter.com/dLRX2TMv2k

Following this tweet, he got into a back and forth with Ariana Grande's mother, Joan Grande who came in defense of the girl band.
Joan told Piers that if he doesn't have anything good to say, he shouldn't say anything at all.
Honestly what is wrong with you @piersmorgan ? Didn’t your mother ever teach you, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it! You came for @TheEllenShow yesterday which was disgraceful, she is an angel. @LittleMix today, did you ever hear of paying homage? And..well never mind https://t.co/5WBOlL8t6O

Of course, the English presenter would respond to defend himself and he did. He told Joan that his mother taught him to always be truthful and speak his mind.
It would have been fine if he just left it there, but Piers took it too far when he attacked Ariana and Ellen DeGeneres.
He called Ellen a hypocrite and stated that he preferred female artists who sold talent, rather than sexuality and claimed that Little Mix and Ariana should try that.
Hi Joan, my mother taught me to speak my mind & never be afraid to express honestly held opinion.

Ellen's a hypocrite - and as for Little Mix, I'd just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity.
As your own daughter does...! https://t.co/nCQAsIgoVG
At this point, Ariana delivered the first mature response in this Twitter battle by simply ending it with the following Tweet:
Ellen is an incredible & kind human being.. I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because i choose to. women can be sexual AND talented. naked and dignified. it’s OUR choice. ?? & we will keep fighting til people understand. i say this w all due respect but thank u, next. https://t.co/wSknRSlJN8

After this tweet everything that followed no longer carried any weight.
