Amanda Holden broadcasts from bed amidst coronavirus chaos

Looking as glam as ever in silky pink pyjamas with a zebra motif – it was business as usual for London’s Heart FM Breakfast Show presenter and Britain’s Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden.

With not a hair out of place, the 49-year-old media personality presented her show from her luxury mansion in Surrey, her beloved pooch Rudie at her side.

She took to Instagram to explain to her 1.3 million fans that it was an experiment to see if it would be possible to stay on air should the coronavirus situation worsen: 'Like so many of you I’m working @thisisheart from #home today to make sure we have the tech to keep you company throughout this trying time! #breakfast 1h'

Holden told her fans that her self-isolation followed  Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s advice to British citizens to work from home where possible . She informed her fans via social media the day before that she had no reason to self-isolate saying: “Tomorrow I am going to be working from home, to see if it works. I don’t need to self-isolate. It is a trial.”

There did not appear to be any sign of her three children or her hubby during the broadcast test but Rudie certainly seemed to have a blast!

Last Thursday, Amanda revealed that Heart FM was working with a skeleton staff as the coronavirus pandemic worsened in London.

The entertainment industry has been thrown into complete chaos as a result of COVID-19 with the production of many of Britain’s most popular series like Line of Duty and Peaky Blinders coming to a grinding halt.

London is now bracing for a lockdown with 40 Tube stations already closed and bars and restaurants to be shut in a bid to stop the rapid spread of the virus.
