If you’ve been belting out tune after tune during lockdown and believe that you’ve got what it takes to be a part of the SA music industry, you have the chance to shine thanks to the Gresham Music Group.
The group took to social media on Wednesday to announce the launch of their campaign "Sing For US - The Lockdown Talent Search!"
Their post said: " Gresham Music Group has launched a nationwide campaign to find the best up & coming singers in the country. With the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic lockdown the aim is to reach all the talented singers who are unable to perform live & assist them by hopefully still being discovered by the David Gresham Records talent scouts.”
They also stated how it works – if you think you have what it takes, here’s what you need to do, there is no age restriction :
* Record a video of yourself singing your favourite song.
* Send your video to carla@gresham.co.za or WhatsApp us at +27 71 726 0526
* The Artist and repertoire team at David Gresham Records will give feedback to each submission individually, you never know, you may even end up with a record deal.
For those you of you old enough to remember, David Gresham was known as "Gruesome Gresh" on the national radio station Springbok Radio, he had a huge following as a presenter before he went into the music producing industry. He is proud to be celebrating his 43rd year as South Africa’s longest-running independent record company.
Here’s hoping plenty of Algoa Country talent will submit their entries.
