Well-known trade unionist, Zwelinzima Vavi, has confirmed testing positive for covid19.
The 57-year-old leader of the trade union SAFTU told journalists on Thursday that he had no idea how he could have contracted the virus.
Vavi says on the day before the lockdown he had a political engagement and has now advised all those who were in attendance to get tested.
He says he is waiting for his family to be tested and he will now isolate himself.
