President Zuma will attend the funeral of Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi over the weekend.
His spokesperson, Mac Maharaj says Zuma will leave on Saturday for Sunday's service in Addis Ababa.
He says Home Affairs Minister and incoming African Union commission chairperson, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma will also attend the funeral.
57-year old Zenawi died in a Brussels hospital last Monday of an undisclosed illness.
He led a liberation movement and became president in 1991 after overthrowing a military junta, and since 1995, he served as prime minister.
