Zuma to attend SANDF Memorial Service

President Jacob Zuma is expected to attend a memorial service today for the 13 SANDF soldiers killed in the Central African Republic last month.

The service Zuma is scheduled to attend will take place at the Swartkop Air Force Base at 11am.

The defence force is expected to hold a second memorial service - also at 11am at the Thaba Tshwane City Hall.

The soldiers were killed on Saturday the 23rd of March during a clash with Seleka rebel forces at the SANDF base outside Bangui in the Central Africa Republic.

Twenty-seven others were wounded.

All were members of One Parachute Battalion, from Bloemfontein.
