Zuma rings the changes in cabinet

President Jacob Zuma has sacked Communications Minister, Dina Pule, in cabinet shuffle announced on Tuesday.

The other casualties were Tokyo Sexwale and Richard Baloyi, who were replaced by Connie September and Lechesa Tsenole respectively.

Yunis Carrim has replaced Dina Pule as Communications Minister. Pule has recently been in the firing line over alleged preferrential treatment towards her lover.

President Zuma also swopped Ben Martins from Transport to Energy, with Dipuo Peters, now the new Minister of Transport.

Several new deputy ministers were also announced.
