Western Cape premier Helen Zille has condemned an attack on two police officers in Hout Bay, which left one of them dead and the other seriously injured.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Democratic Alliance's provincial leadership congress in Cape Town, Zille said she was offering a substantial reward to anyone who could give information that would lead to the arrest of those responsible.
A 26-year old female constable was shot dead while on duty in Imizamo Yethu on Friday night, while her male colleague, aged 27, was seriously injured in the incident.
Zille said she believed they were shot in the head at point blank range.
