A young Cape Town woman has died in a freak accident in a small external lift at a house in Tamboerskloof.
ER24 said that when paramedics, along with Community Medics, Life Healthcare and Metro Services arrived on scene they were lead to the lift outside the home.
Spokesperson, Russel Meiring, said "upon closer inspection, paramedics found the woman lying trapped inside the glass elevator".
"Upon assessment paramedics discovered that the woman had sustained a fatal injury. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the woman and she was declared dead on the scene," he said.
Meiring said the exact cause of the incident will be investigated by authorities.
