Thirty-three people have been taken in for questioning, after an elderly woman's house was burnt down in Waterval in Mpumalanga.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Leonard Hlathi says a group of residents had accused the woman, who was in her 60's, of bewitching the bus driver in the Moloto Road accident.
Earlier this month, 29 people died when a truck drove into the back of a tipper truck, before colliding with a Putco bus and a bakkie near Kwaggafontein.
Another person died later in hospital, while twenty-two others were injured.
Hlathi says after police had taken the woman away, the group burnt down her house.
He says police will decide in the course of the day how many of the 33 would be charged with arson.
