The dog that fell down into Kimberley's big hole over a week ago was rescued on Saturday afternoon.
Kaptein, as the dog was named by twitter users, captured the hearts of the nation.
Warrant Officer John Sealy from the dog unit, together with a team of 7 members from ER24 rescued Kaptein in an operation that took 5 hours.
Sealey went down the hole equivalent of the height of the 50 story building and had to gain the trust of the traumatised dog at the bottom of the hole.
Since the rescue people a far as Canada have asked to adopt the dog. Sealy says the dog will stay in Kimberley.
