The Head of Afriforum's Private Prosecution Unit Gerrie Nel has expressed his disappointment that the alleged mastermind in the murder of Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa has still not been arrested.
Nel was speaking outside the Boksburg Magistrates Court on Friday where the five men accused of the murder is making another appearance.
Nel says as he understands there is now even more evidence gathered by police on the alleged mastermind who is still not arrested.
During their first appearance in October last year, there was drama and confusion when the suspects,
Muzikawulahlelwa Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokosizi Maphisa and SifikuhleNkani Ntuli Sifiso refused to enter the dock.
In Court, they all pronounced their innocence with some saying they had no idea why they were in court for the Meyiwa murder.
Police Minister Bheki Cele announced in a press conference last year that SAPS had made a breakthrough in the six-year investigation by arresting the suspects, allegedly involved.
Some of the accused, however, accused Cele of lying as they were already serving time behind bars.
Nel says what will be of importance to him at Friday's appearance would be the content of the indictment served on the five accused.
Previously it was stated that they would be charged with robbery with aggravating circumstances and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Nel says the indictment should refer to a contract killing.
During the October court proceedings, a document with instructions to the Investigating Officer was erroneously provided to journalists who were asked to delete it from their social media accounts as it referred to Meyiwa's ex-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo being investigated by police.
Over the past few years, Khumalo has faced several critics on social media who accused her of being directly involved with Meyiwa's murder, something she vehemently denies.
