Western Cape Transport Minister, Robin Carlisle says he will be joining his Gauteng counterpart in taking tough action against long distance bus operators.
This, after Gauteng Transport MEC, Ismail Vadi, laid charges against SA Roadlink when it was revealed that a senior company employee had resigned in disgust after discovering a scheme to produce fraudulent roadworthy documents.
In a statement today, Carlisle said he and Western Cape Safety Minister, Dan Plato, have decided to support Vadi's initiative by stopping and checking every SA Roadlink bus entering the Western Cape.
Carlisle says he has also instructed provincial traffic authorities to stop and check public transport busses.
