All Tshwane University of Technology campuses will be shut until further notice because of violent strikes.
University management said on Monday that three campuses were closed last week out of fear for the safety of staff and students, and to prevent further damage to university property.
TUT also obtained a court order against students who were protesting against allocations by the National Student Financial Aid scheme, and the condition of their residences.
Meanwhile, the Lovedale FET college in King Williams Town remained closed on Monday after 150 students who also staged a fees-protest appeared in court.
