Victim pushed under moving truck moments after robbery

A 55-year-old man from Kuruman was killed after a suspect pushed him underneath a moving truck shortly after robbing him.

Northern Cape Police Spokesperson Captain Olebogeng Tawana said four men accosted the victim in the town's CBD on Friday where the drama unfolded.

According to eyewitnesses one of the men wrestled with the victim shortly after the robbery and pushed him underneath the moving vehicle.

Three of the men were later pointed out to police as they were still roaming the CBD.

Tawana said they tracked down the fourth suspect at a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries he sustained when he allegedly wrestled with the victim.

Police said the truck driver did not stop at the scene of the accident and a case of culpable homicide is being investigated against him.

He has been urged to come forward as he could help them with their investigation.

The suspects between the ages of 21 and 26 will appear in court soon on a charge of robbery and murder
