IPSS Medical Rescue
Mandeni Police in Kwazulu Natal reached out for help after receiving an unusual visitor.
IPSS Medical Rescue in Kwazulu Natal said while it is used to receiving strange calls, Wednesday night's one was "one of the best".
Spokesperson, Samantha Myerick, says a team responded at around 10 PM to the call from SAPS members at Mandeni Police Station.
She said to their surprise, a large adult crocodile, about 3.3 metres in length, was found behind the police station.
"Being a unique situation, the decision was made to call for assistance from a local, Ashton Musgrave, who has experience in safely capturing crocodiles," Meyrick said.
She said the crocodile, which measured 3.3m, was "safely captured" and loaded onto the back of a waiting vehicle.
Meyrick said it was decided to relocate the crocodile to the Hluhluwe area on Thursday morning.
