Two women are in police custody in Cape Town after police executed a search warrant on their premises in Brackenfell where fake Bok jerseys were found.
Spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk says they followed up on information and secured a warrant for a local business in Fourie Street.
He says upon entering they found seven workstations where Bok jerseys were being made.
Police confiscated 67 branded and 50 unbranded jerseys as well as 513 cuffs and collars.
The women aged 25 and 47 will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates Court on Monday to face a charge of possession of counterfeit goods.
Meanwhile, the SA Rugby Union (SARU) has warned that it will take legal action against companies that ambush its intellectual property rights.
CEO Rian Oberholzer says they will do what they have to do to protect their rights and those of their highly valued partners.
Earlier this month SARU warned fans not to purchase fake rugby shirts from online outlets claiming to be "official".
SARU says their legal action also assisted in closing down the online retailers.
