Two police officers will appear in court on Tuesday in connection with the death of a student from the Tshwane University of Technology.
The two were arrested by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate following the death of Katlego Monareng in August.
IPID's national spokesperson Moses Dlamini said the detained officers were a Captain and a Constable.
"At the time the police alleged that they fired warning shots at the ground with R5 rifles," said Dlamini.
He said the officers face a charge of murder.
