The bodies of two men were found on Tuesday morning in a veld near the military base in Brandwag, Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics were called to the scene by the local authorities.
A Spokesperson Russel Meiring says on arrival, medics found the body of a man lying some distance in the veld.
He says nothing could be done for him as he was dead for some time.
Whilst medics were busy with the first deceased, the body of a second man was found in the veld, not far away.
Meiring says he too had been dead for some time.
Police Spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele says the men had no visible injuries to their bodies, however, one had foam coming out of his mouth.
He says the men are believed to be between the ages of 30 and 35.
An inquest docket has been opened.
