Police in Limpopo are investigating a double murder and suicide following a shooting incident at the Malungane village, outside Phalaborwa.
It is alleged that a man shot and wounded his 16-year-old daughter and killed his 38-year-old partner and her 27-year-old niece before turning the gun on himself.
According to Provincial police, the man's daughter opened up a case of rape against him which allegedly led to the shooting incident.
The daughter, who survived the attack, alleged that her father raped her on the 13th of June when she went to visit him.
The rape case was only opened on Monday.
The man, who worked for a mining company, committed the murders with his licenced firearm which was found on the scene.
