A 31-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of 28-year-old Tshegofatso Pule, whose lifeless body was found hanging from a tree in a veld in Roodepoort recently.
Pule, who was eight-months pregnant at the time of her murder was also found with multiple stab wounds to her body and was laid to rest at the weekend.
Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela, says the suspect was arrested on his way from Mpumalanga.
He is expected to appear in the Roodepoort Court on Wednesday.
Mawela applauded the detectives for their swift response into the investigation.
