A 37-year-old man is expected to appear in the Fouriesburg Magistrate's court in the eastern Free State on Thursday on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.
Free State police spokesperson, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, says he was arrested on Tuesday evening by members of the Fouriesburg police on the R711.
This followed intelligence-driven information about a truck that was travelling from Lesotho full of sheeps' wool.
After being stopped police asked to search the truck and the sheep wool, worth an estimated R8 million rand, was recovered.
The driver had no proper documents for the wool and was arrested on the spot.
