Three people, including an 8-year old child, were killed and one other person is in a critical condition after a light motor vehicle apparently collided with the trailer of a truck at a petrol station on the N12 near Fochville in Gauteng on Friday evening.
ER24's Ross Campbell says paramedics found two adult males in the front seats of the car with multiple injuries and they were declared dead at the scene.
He says the boy and a man in his 20's had suffered multiple critical injuries and were treated with Advanced Life Support interventions.
Campbell says the child later succumbed to his injuries and was also declared dead at the scene.
The man was airlifted to a private hospital for further medical treatment.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
