The Department of Home Affairs says three people, including a policeman, have been arrested for corruption.
The head of the Department's investigative unit, advocate Connie Moitse, says the arrests were made on Monday during a festive season operation by the Department of Home Affairs and South African Police Service.
She says a warrant officer was among those arrested.
Moitse the suspect will appear in court on Tuesday.
"Two officials were arrested at Beitbridge border post for allegedly taking bribes from travellers passing through. In another incident one official was arrested at the Department of Home Affairs for alleged fraud and corruption" she said.
