The basic education department said that at least 98% of textbooks have been delivered to inland schools ahead of the first day of school for inland provinces on Wednesday.
Minister Angie Motshekga said in a statement on Tuesday that they were ready to welcome about one million learners into the education system.
Motshekga said extra textbooks will be delivered within the first two weeks of school.
Many Limpopo schools failed to receive textbooks on time last year.
Some schools were reportedly still without textbooks in August.
