Two teenage boys have been arrested in Kagiso, near Krugersdorp, following the rape of a 14-year-old girl.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya says the two, both 17, were arrested on Wednesday, for allegedly raping a 14-year-old in a park.
He says the boys met the girl and her boyfriend on a street, and they beat the boyfriend up and chased him away.
She was then dragged into the park, where she was assaulted and raped by both suspects.
Sibiya says she knew one of her assailants and reported the attack to the police.
The teenagers were transferred to a youth rehabilitation centre in Krugersdorp.
Sibiya says the justice department will decide what to do with them.
